Car Cleaning Tips

Many people in today's society spend a substantial amount of time in their cars. If you're one of them, then you want to make sure your car is as clean and comfortable as possible. Here are some great tips to help your ride look its best:

Vacuum the car's interior on a regular basis. You can use a handheld vacuum or visit a car wash for a high powered vacuuming that's easy and affordable.

Armor All is a fantastic product that can protect your vehicle's interior and add gleaming shine. Simply spray this product on your interior, then wipe with a soft cloth. You'll be amazed at the difference!

Try an air freshener to add a nice fragrance to your car. You can pick up vehicle air fresheners anywhere, or make your own. Simply soak cotton balls in your favorite cologne or essential oil, then stash in plastic baggies underneath your seats for a long lasting scent.

Some other homemade cleaning recipes include the use of easily obtainable household items like baking soda and vinegar. If cleaning with kids, you'll definitely want to use a safe, homemade cleaning recipe.

Try cleaning the car's windows with white vinegar. To remove stains from fabric interior, try covering with baking soda and vinegar. Allow the mixture to soak, then gently blot away. When dry, vacuum the area. Baking soda can also make a fantastic deodorizer. Sprinkle on your interior before vacuuming to remove odour and add freshness.

When washing your car, be sure to work from the top to the bottom. Spray your car down with a hose, then prepare your cleaning solution in a large bucket. Usually one small squirt of detergent is enough to wash the entire car.

Foam up the detergent by filling the bucket with a hose. Use a soft sponge and wash your car using a sweeping circular motion. Be sure to rinse all soap residue off with clean, clear water.

Every few months, give the exterior of your vehicle a good waxing. You'll want to wash your car first and allow it to dry. Then, dip your waxing sponge into the wax and apply to your vehicle in small, circular motions.

After your entire car is covered, use a clean towel to wipe the wax off in the same order it was applied. Yes, waxing can be labor intensive and time consuming, but definitely worth it if you want your car to stay beautiful and protected.
